I don't think NV does non-resident permits. UT used to be the best option, but NV stopped honoring the UT permit last year. NV only honors 12-12 other permits and non are terrebly easy to get from here.
Nevada has a Non-resident permit. You have to take the 8 hr class in Nevada and in the county you are going to apply to for your permit. Then you wait up to 120 days for said county sheriff to get his thumb out of his behind and issue the permit...which is good anywhere in Nevada but not other states.
Nevada does NOT have reciprocity though some other states permits are honored here...until the sheriffs and chiefs assoc. changes their minds w/o notice like they did w/ Utah.
Joe,
any reason given for dis-allowing the Utah permit? When I got mine, I had the choice of FL and NV and UT. I did the NV class and test, but my fingers were in such bad shape, I couldn't get printed. Long time to get them cleared up, and decided that UT looked like a better deal at that point. Now Nevada gets pissy. WTF?

If you're staying on the strip you're more likely to NOT get free WiFi. The cheap places off the strip are more likely to give it away. Have fun.
And I'd stay the hell out of Costco while you're there as well!
"Welcome to Costco...I love you."

if you have any free time, you should stop in on the range and check out the USPSA handgun nationals. I mean, as long as you're there and all...
