Ah, reason and logic...never mind the fact that Al Qaeda hit us when Bush and Cheney (tough motherfuckers they supposedly are) were in office.
And didn't hit us again for the next eight years.
But while DHS is watching these people, a Muslim Army officer, who is known to the FBI, flips out and massacres 12 soldiers and a civilian, wounding over 30 others.
Helluva job there, Brownie. What's next? A tanker full of ANFO driven into the Mall of America by another Mohammed Atta?
Perhaps one day you'll learn what those words mean. Or any words.
..never mind the fact that Al Qaeda hit us when Bush and Cheney (tough motherfuckers they supposedly are) were in office.
And they were in flight training when Clinton was in office. They'd have been in the air under a President Gore. Al Queda attacked us twice under Clinton overseas, to no effect.
They got one shot in on Bush/Cheney.
After that, we took them apart. Yes, I know you blathered that they've almost reconstituted.
But you've not touched upon my challenge to you what that would mean that they would REQUIRE re-constitution.
Almost like you don't understand the concepts of cause and effects and are just blathering, repeating someone else's words verbatim, without understanding.
First up, we have Minnesota's own Michelle Bachmann who said this on the floor of the US Congress., in regards to the House version of the health care bill.
"Does that mean that someone's 13 year-old daughter could walk into a sex clinic, have a pregnancy test done, be taken away to the local Planned Parenthood abortion clinic, have their abortion, be back and go home on the school bus that night? Mom and dad are never the wiser, they don't know any different."
I so love the tap into your inner rage and pass if off as fact meme.
By the way, what's incorrect about that? Substantially, anyway. There's one minor nit there I see. But hardly "rage passed off as fact".
And what's "unhinged" about neo-neocon's statement on Vietnam?
I'll refresh your memory:
"That was a huge part of the calculation by the enemy in Vietnam, and it worked very well for them. Vietam was a war of attrition; the enemies there calculated that they had more tenacity than we did, and they were correct."
mike w., he can't recognize either reason or logic even when it's rubbed on his ass. We've tried. It goes right through him like a neutrino through lead; he doesn't even notice.
"That was a huge part of the calculation by the enemy in Vietnam, and it worked very well for them. Vietam was a war of attrition; the enemies there calculated that they had more tenacity than we did, and they were correct."
Small nitpick: Only some of us lacked the stones to make good on our treaty obligations to South Vietnam in 1975. Specifically, the Democratic controlled Congress, which killed the funding for our part of the 1973 Paris peace accords in 1974. Democratic party, the party of surrender since 1974.
"And didn't hit us again for the next eight years."
Um, what about the anthrax attacks?
I will give Bush props for doing an excellent job disrupting hirabis financial networks. I think this is the main reason why we weren't attacked. I also think that him being the first president to say (even thought I don't agree with him) that the Palestinians should have their own state is important to note. Of course, sending billions of dollars in aid to Africa and the Middle East also helps. But then you have to figure in the whole torture-Gitmo-Iraq thing and then it gets muddied.
But mainly I just wanted to point out that the whole "Obama is weak-too nice-we are going to be attacked" meme is bullshit. And a COMPLETE emotional judgment. There is no logic nor reasoned facts to back this up.
Speaking of emotional judgments, I see no point in engaging in a debate about Vietnam. Until you can demonstrate to me that you will take into account all of the historical facts regarding this era, it will be like talking to a brick wall...said wall being defined as:
"The media!!! The MEDIA!!!! It was all their fault...traitors!!!"
"Obama is weak-too nice-we are going to be attacked" meme is bullshit.
"when people see a strong horse and a weak horse, by nature, they will like the strong horse." - Osama bin Ladin.
Speaking of emotional judgments, I see no point in engaging in a debate about Vietnam.
Run away! Run away! Bravely Sir Ralph Ran Away!
What's emotional about a discussion on Vietnam, and specifically, what neo-neocon said?
Until you can demonstrate to me that you will take into account all of the historical facts
Alanis! HEY! ALANIS! NOTE THIS! THIS IS IRONY!
So until I can demonstrate to you?
Historical FACTS?
"The media!!! The MEDIA!!!! It was all their fault...traitors!!!"
"Protesters...all their fault!!!"
"Liberals...the bastards."
"America-PERFECT, Vietnamese-EVIL COMMIES....kill!! Kill!!! KILL!!!
And those are your ideas of historical facts?
No, no, I won't be able to discuss that with you, since I actually have real historical facts to use.
And while the media shares a fair bit of the credit for turning the American People against the war, and misreporting what was going on in the war and the like (Inlcuding Peter Arnett's first known made up statement "We had to destroy the village in order to save it." - it wouldn't be his last), that's only a part of the story.
But then, you don't know historical facts when we lay them out for you in graphic detail, so I'm not really surprised that you're now running away from a categorization that as far as I know, you're the first person to dispute.
Yeah, I've been trying to ignore that big of stupidity from him... that he copied verbatim from somebody else.
Hell, he can't manage to discuss his own culture and history, trying to get him to understand one.. as.. alien....
You know, maybe the problem is that Mark does think like the classic Arabist. Their Honor/Shame culture is one where you cannot ever admit an error, and history is re-written at all times.

Interesting. He might understand that culture better than the one he was raised in.
(He certainly can't explain why Bachmann was substantially wrong in her example.)
THAR. It just sounds like an evil god from a fantasy novel, doesn't it?
Just as evil, to boot.
"Until you can demonstrate to me that you will take into account all of the historical facts regarding this era, it will be like talking to a brick wall...said wall being defined as:"
I trimmed the yammering. Teh facts? He wants facts? That means he'll listen this time. Right guys? Right?
THAR. It just sounds like an evil god from a fantasy novel, doesn't it?
Actually I had to concentrate so it didn't sound like a hillbilly in my head speaking of "that thar men-tality". Wound up cheating and reading the "th" as sort of a Germanic T sound. Wouldn't have survived otherwise.
Actually... That sounds like a really cool bumper sticker.

Ah, reason and logic...never mind the fact that Al Qaeda hit us when Bush and Cheney (tough motherfuckers they supposedly are) were in office.
And no reason at all for DHS to pay attention to people like this...

Yes, because terrorists only hit us after the evil, nasty, fascist rethuglicans were in office.
It's like February 26th, 1993 never happened!
*facepalm*
Christ, I hope your version of stupid isn't contagious.

Aw, cmon guys, we're gonna pig pile on him for a Standard Response #9? Make him work harder for it.

Hell, that is ALL he does. Which is why it is so poignant that he cries loudest that that is what THE OTHER GUYS do.
Yeah, good ole Marxistelphia! Never lets the truth stand in his way.

UJ, Marxy demonstrates his inability to grasp historical facts through the continued use of a single word: hirabis.
That single word denies the fact that the jihadists are faithfully following Mohammad's own example.
