When self-professed Leftist Feminists (but I repeat myself) oppose the registry, it's toast, sooner or later.
It was basically nothing but straight slush for the politically connected. As such I'm not so sanguine about repeal, and the fact that not only she doesn't make that a major part of the reason it needs to be repealed, but doesn't even mention it...

It's nice she's changed her mind, but she's not really figured out what the _real_ game is. Or still supports it.
"...I was enrolled in women's studies at York University..."
"Sorry to be such a judgmental prick, but that's pretty much ALL I need to know."
Hey, it could have been worse. It could have been McGill. :)
Seriously, though, this is GREAT news for gun owners in Canada. Once this bloated piece o' crap is out of the way and crime (shockingly) doesn't rise, it's up to IPSC shooters, handgun hunters and the rest of the shooting community in Canada to lobby for decreased regulations on handguns and maybe even (gasp!) CCW permits.
Hm. I wonder what the death rate from driving while texting is. I can see the ad now: "It is X times more likely that you will be killed by blackberry owner, than a gunowner..."
Ban Fully-automatic telephones with high-capacity keyboards and assult screen! Require keyboard locks!

The pistol registry is still in full effect(I believe) and just as useless. Maybe this will open that up to attack also.
Doubtful, but one can hope!
"they must be SEEN"
Yet another argument in favor of open carry.

It's these kinds of people who are equally bigoted about guns, so fuck 'em, regardless of this ONE person finally getting a clue.

One can dream...
[...] Normalization to open carry [...]
Stealing your ideas and applying them to other things here, boss. Nothing unusual.
