Funny thing about Canute. The point of that little episode was to show the limits of the King's power.

Souls won't be covered as souls are a religious things of the poor and uneducated, only the planet has a soul. Remember "...clinging to their religion and guns"? Therapy will be be available for those who profess beliefs in an almighty other than the One.
