I have one huge disagreement. What is happening to Palin is not swiftboating. Swiftboating is what the British did to the Spanish Armada, what happened to Ted Kennedy's presidential dreams in a car driven off a bridge, and what happened to John Kerry's presidential aims because of what he did and did not do in Vietnam and then afterward here in the states. Swiftboating is either fast small boats against big ships or the sinking of political careers based on truth.
Palin faces only lies, innuendo, and fevered fiction and hate. As well, I do not believe she will lose. History will tell, but I do not think so. She is merely being faced with typical "liberal" propaganda.
Though I see her as the fulfillment of feminism, a "female conservative", a woman come full circle and (in theory) learning to think honestly and on her own, without selfism syndrome. Still, she is a product of feminism no doubt. But, she is not being swiftboated. Simply, the left isn't capable of truth.
"I actually believed we were better than that. I actually believed "swiftboating" was the sole property of Republicans."
I guess that blogger didn't notice all the attacks on George Bush during the last election, including the fabrications that Dan Rather jumped all over.
Speaking of Vietnam... I came across this old video yesterday. It's narrated by Chuck Heston and shows how the media completely manufactured news during the Vietnam war in order to sway public opinion their own way.

So much for unbiased reporting. What a bunch of bastards, and thank God for the blogosphere this time around.
The "Swiftboating" thing was pointed out in the comments to the piece very early on.
OT:
My next post is up.
"I actually believed we wanted to debate the issues." HAHAHAHAHAHA!
When has the left ever wanted to debate issues?
By saying "I believed we wanted to debate" the left actually means, We disbelieved and Berate. It's that consonantal shift - a linguistics thing...
