n a wholly disarmed society, his house requires burglar alarms and window locks and a security camera.
And that's just the way the authori-tahs want it, too. For teh childrenses, you know.
If you have money for guns you probably have at least a $700 TV
Not necessarily. I spent my $700 TV money on a parkerized Springfield Loaded 1911. ;-)
(AP) ROCHESTER, NH - The attorney general says a Rochester, New Hampshire man who fatally shot a home intruder won't face criminal charges.

Authorities say Gaedtke had ignored several verbal warnings to leave before Hammann reached for his gun. They said at the time of the shooting, Gaedtke was naked and headed toward a child's bedroom. He died of a single shot to the chest.
And, from the Union Leader:
Investigators also revealed yesterday further bizarre behavior from Gaedtke that led to the shooting. He was reportedly naked and clutching a tube of mechanical lubricant when he ripped down a window screen and climbed into Hamann's house.
The search tool on his site sucks. I know I remember seeing some self-defense shootings in Delaware mention on Clayton's blog, but a search for Delaware brings up nothing.
It's a great book. There's a really wonderful part in page 178 of the hardcover where Steyn is asked, by a Frenchman, about
"....this American sickness with guns"
"Americans have guns because lots of Americans like to have guns."
"A lot of people here would like to have guns too. But they don't."
"Exactly."

I guess seventy dollars would be the pawn value? If you have money for guns you probably have at least a $700 TV.....just sayin.

At the price of firearms today, once you buy a gun you'll more than likely have to purchase the $70 TV on a layaway plan.
I have a number of guns. The number of T.V.'s I own, I can count on less than one finger.
TVs wear out. There's every chance the rifle your granddad had still works just fine today.
Kevin, I've got some NH stories for you here.
My favorite:

NH: the Live free or take one in the chest State.

Only one?
We're all pretty decent shots here, and can't be wasting firewood and beer money on extra ammo for poorly placed shots.
Yes Kevin, we can shoot and hollow points are a hell of a drug. :^)

$700 won't get you much of a TV or a gun around here!
