Seriously, the *ACLU* is gonna protect you?!?

I'll get back to you on that one after I recover from laughing so hard I puke.

Wasn't there a story just a few months ago about them defending a church from inconsistent zoning law decisions?

It seems like once or twice a year, I hear of the ACLU actually defending someone they wouldn't normally defend. Proof that they're really "fair and balanced?"

Now, if you'll excuse me, I gotta go take some pain medication. My stomach muscles are cramping from laughing so hard at the thought of the ACLU as "balanced."

I cannot support them because their stance on gun rights is one hundred percent wrong. I can understand having other spending priorities. After all, there are guns only civil rights groups focusing on gun issues only. But the ACLU is of the opinion that Miller was decided correctly.

Which makes them socialists bastards fronting as a civil liberties group.

The ACLU occasionally does a bit of pro-ACLU advertising/litigation to make a splash in the paper and themselves appear "fair and for the little people" - it doesn't cost them much to keep up the front.
