I recall reading that scene from Azimov, and I've applied the technique ever since, albeit nowhere near as thoroughly as Azimov did.
Perhaps the term "President Dorwin" might catch on. Wouldn't explaining it for the next four years be fun? Hell, wouldn't explaining for the next three months be even more fun?
