Got the new (to me, anyway) IBM this morning... great condition and (strangely) with an adjustable sight with windage in the back. I've heard that's a useful aftermarket feature, the only downside is that it covers up where it says it's an IBM. (Serial number makes it an IBM for sure, though.) IBM did *not* put that on.
Also, the expected FAT Italian cartouche isn't on there anywhere.

Nice to have a rifle made by the same guys who brought us so much of modern computing.
My dad worked for Big Blue for 33 years. I thought it would be neat to have a REAL "Business Machine."
I got a POSTAL Meter, cause the Postman always rings twice - that's a double-tap, right?
The first time I saw the IBM name on one of these I did a double-take: HUH?
And yeah, being in IT, I would have loved to show it off in the computer room.
Let's have a race to see who gets the service grade IBM first - I got an email notification Tuesday AM that they'd received my order Monday.
Too late I realized that I needed to get one of the IBM carbines.
It would have been poetic justice since IBM fired me. (I didn't want to move to another city. If you know anything about IBM, you understand.)

I got my email today!
Hot damn! We'll be waiting for pictures.
I live in New Jersey, so I'm not allowed to have one.
Hell, you can't even have an air pistol in New Jersey, apparently.
Why the hell live there, then?
Holy cow, Kevin, I just got an email saying the IBM will be *in my hands* tomorrow morning!
Hmmm... I've gotten nothing but the acknowledgment yet.
Envy, envy, envy...

Congratulations. I checked the status of my order at ODCMP.com and it doesn't show up yet.
Damn, I hope I'm not order #1008.
Oh, and your post is useless without pics!
