And when the time comes, please make sure we all know when the show airs.
And talk about mixed feelings, I just picked up my new Kimber Pro Covert II, my first ever 1911, and I'm having feelings of envy? I'll fix that tomorrow morning ...
Would there be any interest in a mini get together in the North Carolina or Norfolk, VA area? I'm not far (3 hours) from Norfolk and would love to host or attend some kind of blogfest for the winners.
I get the impression that they're going to keep us pretty busy. We're staying AT the Blackwater facility, so I'm not sure what kind of access others would have.
I live in Norfolk, less than an hour from Blackwater. If there are any dinners, meetups or other extracurricular activities, I'd really like to be invited so I can see you guys again while you're in the area.
Well, we're all supposed to be at the Norfolk Airport Hampton Inn at 9 AM on Friday, August 22, 2008, so I imagine that most of us will be rolling in to Norfolk on Thursday. I know I'm planning to. Maybe something Thursday night?
I just left a comment over at Uncle's place. If you're interested in meeting Thursday evening for dinner, let me know what kind of food you like and a price range. As soon as I'm sure how many people to make it for, I'll make reservations somewhere.
My plane is scheduled to arrive at 9:43 on the 21st at Norfolk. I'll be staying at the Norfolk Hampton Inn. I'm spending Sunday night at the same place and leaving early the next morning.
A blogfest breakfast on Friday might work. Thursday night will probably work for a lot of people but I'll be a little on the late side of that.
I am a semi-regular,(as opposed to an automatic regular, I guess) I voted for you and had some friends vote for you so we can all enjoy your uberpost regarding the festivities. Have fun!!!
Excellent! This is going to be some good training, and lots of fun. Glad you won one of the slots! And it's really cool that Para is coming to the STATES! Charlotte NC indeed!
As Kevin pointed out being active, outdoors, in North Carolina in August will probably not be "fun" it will be “interesting” and “challenging”. But getting training from Todd Garrett will make it worth it.

Actually, Dave Hardy hasn't posted anything about it as far as I've seen...
However, the others have already announced. They are GunTruth and Maddened Fowl.
Have fun and write a lot about it. I voted for you, natch.
Congrats!

I *hope* Dave Hardy is going. If anyone deserves it, it would be Dave.
I can't be more tickled than I am right now, and the company is rather fantastic as well.
When I spoke to Kerby I asked him who else had won, and Dave Hardy is one name that stuck in my head.
Congrats! Glad my vote worked for you.

I'm with Matt.

Congratulations! Have some fun for the rest of us who will just have to experience it vicariously.
You realize, of course, that my vote had a price?
I'm expecting a post on your day at the event with pictures, just so that I can enjoy the feeling of envy that you went and I cannot.
Have a great day!
"Sixteen regular readers", my foot... :p
And they say that one person's vote doesn't matter! :) Enjoy the trip, Kevin. I think we're all expecting a mega-post about it.
