Like I always write: they need to hold GBR some other time during the year than hunting season.

And it came to pass that a season for hunting was established, with dates therein therefore, wherein food was to be killed. And the master of the house said, "Thou shalt not suffer any plans, or dates, or things to prevent thou from killing thy food, lest ye starve, and thy family with thee."

And so it was, and is, and ever shall be. Well, here in Oklahoma, anyway.

I think Mr. Completely moved the GBR up a week this year because someone complained that last year's was on opening weekend!

Damn, seems you can't make anybody happy.

It's almost always opening weekend for something, somewhere, from late August through the New Year. And, there's nothing sacred about opening weekend, as second and third weekends are pretty damned nice, too.

It's about priorities, y'see.

The joke about the Southerner kid in kindergarten class springs to mind.

How many seasons are there?

"Four. Duck season, deer season, trout season and Christmas..."

Good lad!
