Well, in fairness, that probably wasn't written by a "professional journalist." And I'm not sure it's even correct to consider it a headline. It's more like a little promo link, and it was probably scribbled by some summer intern working for Comcast.net.
I doubt Comcast maintains some massive newsroom of pro journalists doing reporting and editing. Looks to me like they just compile a bunch of wire stuff and create links to others' content.
Now, now. I have two copies of Theodore Roosevelt's "Hunting the Grizzly," one with the word spelled "Grisly" throughout, including the cover.
However, Roosevelt's usage with either spelling referred exclusively to the bear.
