Dunno. Division review is a two hour kick in balls. the only one I didn't weasel out of was for the POTUS's dad when he was VP, and afterwards I'm sure there were more than one of us ready to do some shooting:-)
The nutjobs that shot into the 2/325 formation back in the early nineties still have people twitching I bet.
Joking aside, the SS are implementing some silly precautions. Dog tags? I'd rather use my thumb.
I remember once in Korea when the President of the ROK came to visit the base. All kinds of restrictions on where to park, where to walk, stay off streets along his route, etc.
I found this humorous as the security directives came from the KCIA, and the last time a ROK President was assassinated it was by the KCIA.
During World War II one of the Luftwaffe's top aces (Galland?) was told by Hitler's SS bodyguards to surrender his sidearm before entering the presence of Der Fuhrer to receive an award. He told them that as an officer if he was not trusted with his weapon in the presence of Hitler, he was not fit to receive the award and to cancel the ceremony. They relented and it never came up again.
Randy,
that was Erich Hartmann. 352 confirmed kills. That ceremony was not his first, might have been the one for reaching 300 kills. (Think he was there several times) Swords and Diamonds to his Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. Only 28 total ever awarded.

OT, but... Kevin, have you seen this on The Onion website?

When Bush came to Ft. Lewis, they parked Strykers to block crossroads to the on-base route, closed all but one lane of one gate, etc.
Amusingly enough, all the Strykers were disarmed. No ammo, no missiles, etc. Go figure.
A 5 minute drive to the PX took about an hour due to all the road closures. I was NOT amused.
