My, my, since they were afraid of the Cowboy with Nukes in his low slung holsters, I think they will be rustling the herds right out from under the watchful eye of the wonderwench. But then I am not surprised by too much anymore. My question is her daughter going to sign up to serve? Foolish question, sorry.
Am I a McCain supporter? I'm not so sure. He sucked in the debate the other night. And sure he appears to have contradicted himself from time to time, but which of them hasn't done that? And Mc
Cain/Feingold? I don't know; I think reasonable people still have some arguing to do about the excessive influence of big money on our system: Only the rich can run for office, for example..
Yes, I wrote at the end of the post: "McCain/Giuliani 2008!" But was I serious? I don't know. I'm trying to figure out who can win. What do I know. It's just a blog, dude.
I watched the Obama/Clinton debate, too, and much to my glee, I thought he mopped the floor with her. No, there isn't much daylight between them, but he sounds smarter and more dignified at least. Worse things could happen. I'm looking forward to the Romney/Obama debates...
So, you don't think that there was any sort of deal HW Bush struck with the Iranians?
No, I don't. The deal was struck by Warren Christopher, Deputy Secretary of State under Carter. Look up the Algiers Accords.
But ask yourself why they were willing to deal in the first place.
(Arms-for-hostages/Iran-Contra came later.)

"about the mythical deal between Reagan's team and the Iranians?"
Uh...what?
And the notion that Reagan got the Iranians to blink is also preposterous.
No, the Iranians didn't blink Mark, they soiled themselves.
McCain is NOT another Ronald Reagan. He may be another Richard Nixon however... (NOT a good thing)
"they soiled themselves."
Rob, do you honestly believe this? C'mon...
They sure return the hostages in a hurry didn't they.
I dare say that they were tripping over each other to buy the tickets for their departing guests at the airport.
urp.. that would be "returnED"
