I got the exact same letter except for the name. I guess they got that part right. Was that the day he dropped out? And if so why does it sound like he is still going to do something?
I'll assume that there is a bit of a lead time before donation letters go out, so this is just a post-dated letter that had it's wording figured out in advance. They don't actually print those things down at campaign headquarters you know.
Let's just hope that the third party contractor that was paid to print the form letter gets paid promptly.
It's been a while since I last worked on a campaign, but if memory serves me right, those third party contractors operate on a strict cash in advance basis, because candidates so routinely stiff their creditors.
It probably got sent so that Thompson would have no basis for demanding a refund.
Not only did I get that one, but I also got an automated polster call from the Friends of Hillary, long after the NH primary. And, we're both registered republicans.

Probably just part of cleaning up the office as they close down. Catching up on corespondence. The website still has a donation page too...
Wistful wishful thinking...
Yep, I got one, too. Was almost hoping for a refund check for my donation since he dropped out before the damn big day next week.
