My father-in-law has a piece of land about a hour's drive from here. The whole county there is becoming overrun with wild hogs. Last September, they moved the final mile and suddenly, his land was torn up as if by a rototiller on steroids.
The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation advises all hunters to shoot all feral hogs on sight. So, I baited them with corn and fed them lead, eventually killing nine. I kept three bigs ones to eat and left the rest. The hogs ate it all, every scrap, right down to the hair, leaving only a dark tint to the leaves underneath.
A neighbor only a 1/4 mile to the west baited them with corn inside a trap. He lives there, so it was easy. As of about February, he had trapped 251, which he sold to game farms elsewhere.
I suspect his cash flow is a hell of a lot better than mine.
