Yeah, and even better is that the kid in the movie is Will Smith's son in real life. And the movie is supposed to be closely based on the true story of Chris Gardner.

I love these kinds of movies. This is exactly the kind message that should be sent to everyone everywhere, but particularly to blacks in America. However, I predict that The Pursuit of Happyness will get the same response from the Left that I got from one of my liberal professors when I told him about my black step-mother who succeeded against the odds: "Well, she was able to pull herself up by her own bootstraps, but most blacks can't." A disgustingly hypocritical comment -- very racist by his own standards -- and yet he had no idea why there is actually some truth to what he said.

Looks like the movie speaks truth to the idea that you can have what you want if you work hard for it. The culture of perseverance, hard work, and sacrifice is the culture that succeeds. It's called the American dream, because America is the only place in the world where all of those things are virtually guaranteed to produce success. Can't wait to see the movie.
