I do NOT have big fleshy hands, but I still get nipped every shot by the standard rowel hammer on my bedside BHP. My other BHP, that I shoot about 20 times more (in IDPA practice and matches) has the SFS system with the tiny little hammer nub, and has never come close to nipping my hand. Have you ever shot one of those? (I've come to really like the SFS system too, and mine has a really nice trigger feel right of the box - as soon as I lost the magazine disconnect.)
Now if only it came in .45 ACP, I'd retire my 1911.
Seriously.
Oh, Kevin, I forgot to mention: you don't need a beavertail on a BHP. Just a bobbed hammer will suffice. That's what The Mrs. has on hers, and I've not been bitten by the hammer yet.
At an Evil Gun Show I once ran across a #4 Mk1(T) Enfield sniper. All matching, including the original mount and scope, all in beautiful condition, and made in either 1942-43. The price was fully justified, but damn!
At times I still think I should have come up with the money somehow.
If I came across one of those, I think I'd try putting a kidney up on Ebay.

I liked my Hi-Power a lot, but here in Australia...
"...but here in Australia..."
It's now verboten for law-abiding subjects of the Crown to possess?

Actually, I have the SFS on my Kimber 1911, and I like it VERY much.
yup, the M3 Super 90:

I read about it, saw it and had to have it. So when the LGS, (Local Gun Shop), had one on display, I bought it.
The latest 'gotta have it' I ordered after I rode it.
No, not Jessica Alba.
One of these, in the ST version:

Can't wait. I should have it on the road in a couple more weeks. The LBS, has already ordered the drive rain and other bits to kit it out.
Now, if I could just mount the M3 to the top tube to take care of those damn nuts in the Volvos and landscaper trucks.....
