They might try a bluer shade next time. Obviously that green color is too easily visible at sea.
I suggest they see about getting something in a Corvette Sting Ray, preferably one with a fiberglas body, to minimize the radar silhouette. But those may not be readily available in Cuba.
It killed me to hear that the coasties sank the pickup after pulling everyone off. They cited that it was a hazard to navigation. Hell, I'm sure there are quite a few people who would volunteer to tow it to shore if they could keep it. I know I would love to have a pickup like that (minus the pontoons).

A Corvette? For high Party officials only! The proletariat must be content with trucks and passenger cars. Sports cars are decadent!
Too bad they don't have any '70s muscle cars. A 'Cuda migt have the hp to get past the Coastie Patrol. Not that I mind those boys doing a good job....
As George Patton probably didn't really say, "Anybody that eloquent deserves to be rescued".
The way I see it, these guys have way too much style to stay in the Southern Minors. The are ready for Prime Time.
If they had a 1955 or '56 Carribean, I'd pay their legal fees.
Damn, they let in terrorists and guys who can barely hold a job picking lettuce, but these inventive and determined people keep getting turned back?
I thought Castro shot folks who tried to escaped...or maybe thats just his own army/military/police guys.
I can't believe the Coast Guard isn't towing these guys to the florida
surf-line and cutting them loose.
Are we sure that this isn't a PhotoShopped fake?

James: You doubt Reuters and AP?
