One almost has to ask if that was produced by Republicans to get people pissed off at Democrats.

One almost has to ask if Mark considers that one "dead nuts accurate".

GoF:

I didn't see anything in there that Mark hasn't _said before_.

I was about to remark, no wonder he's been quiet, he's been brainstorming to write that spot.

This is very reminiscent of "Why Mommy is A Democrat", albeit expressed in the inverse.

I loved the black couple.  Who freed the slaves?  Who ended segregation?  Sure wasn't the Democrats.

2004? Or 1994?

jsid-1286291840-51  Jeroen Wenting at Tue, 05 Oct 2010 15:17:20 +0000

The Dems will WIN bigtime in November, not because they have majority support of the population but because they have the best election fraud machine in place and control the government agencies created to detect and combat such election fraud (not to mention the vote counting itself).

With the GoP self destructing and independents taking the majority of their seats (those the election fraud won't give to the Dems) we're going to see a landslide resulting in a very large left wing majority in both houses, probably large enough to get constitutional ammendments passed and repealed.

jsid-1286293539-51  Ken at Tue, 05 Oct 2010 15:45:39 +0000 in reply to jsid-1286291840-51

Think they'll get 38 state legislatures too? That's what one needs to ratify an amendment.

jsid-1286303116-845  Jeroen Wenting at Tue, 05 Oct 2010 18:25:17 +0000 in reply to jsid-1286293539-51

they already ignore the constitution...
Wouldn't surprise me if they devise a way to derail it completely. Rule by presidential decree, declare state of emergency.

But yes, if they can swing the congressional vote, why not the state vote as well?

jsid-1286306161-765  geekwitha45 at Tue, 05 Oct 2010 19:16:02 +0000

Sigh.

I'm thinking our salvation may be to found our own country along minarchoObjectivist lines, with only one felony punishment: exile to a Blue State after auctioning off your property to compensate the victims.

'Tis fitting that the punishment for acting like an idiot is to be forced to live among them.

Or, to be compassionate, we could give the the option of death, if they find that preferable to New Jersey.

There was a fantasy series that ended like that.  It kind of sucked though because it was achieved basically through Deus Ex Machina: $OBJECTIVIST_HERO banishes $COLLECTIVIST_BADGUYS to $RELM_THAT_KINDA_LOOKS_LIKE_EARTH with $OBJECT_THAT_GRANTS_ABSOLUTE_POWER.

Terry Goodkind's Sword Of Truth series, right?

Exile isn't a new idea. In fact, that's what happened after the Revolutionary War. Tories were made to feel unwelcome in the fledgling United States, so most left: some back to England, some to Australia, most to Canada.

I'm voting republican because ther only thing I hate more than liberals are communist, oops they're the same.

jsid-1286381364-848  Crotalus at Wed, 06 Oct 2010 16:09:42 +0000

I noticed that part about the Constitution being "inconvenient" and all to the Republicans. Hell, that's not satire. That's true for BOTH parties. Neither one wants anything to do with the Constitution anymore.

What idiot came up with this video?  It's no wonder things are going to be bad for the Donks in November, butt hurt doesn't even cover it.

David: I know someone with your name. You don't happen to be affiliated with a suburb of Philadelphia, are you?

Cary, NC by the IP address, Geek.

Coincidentally, I lived in Cary from 1974 till 1981.

Isn't that backwards?  I thought Cary was supposed to be the "bedroom community" suburb of Raleigh! ;)

These people think like the bumper sticker that says "Tea parties are for children. Grow up". The last time we had a tea party and then grew up. we strapped on our balls and started shooting the bastards. These people are pushing us ever closer to a second "Shot Heard 'Round the World".

Please, please, please...if there is a God in heaven, there has got to be someone out there with the talent to do a video rebuttal to this: "I'm voting Democrat because..."

jsid-1286486940-72  kampfy at Thu, 07 Oct 2010 21:29:02 +0000 in reply to jsid-1286419287-29

Really why bother?  That ad is the equivalent to a political cartoon.  All it can do is amuse those who already agree with it and that's all an "I'm voting Democrat because..." rebuttal will do.
