It's a fun analogy, but it's flawed.

The problem is not that we're hopelessly outmanned and outgunned, it's that the will is utterly lacking in our leadership. We have no one who believes in our cause. Where is our Gandalf? Where is Aragorn, Elrond, Galadriel, and Eomer? All we have is McCain, who is King Theoden before the exorcism.

I tend to agree. Where is the next great Conservative leader?

With 8 years to find someone while Bush was in office, the best we could do was McCain?

We need a Reagan, but we are left with too many Rockefellers and Deweys!!!

Somewhere there has to be a conservative leader with a plan!!
