Local politicians are the worst kind of offenders. Their let-them-eat-cake attitude and sheer joy at finding a misplaced comma in the law that allows them to treat us like naughty children begging for favors makes me ill.

Greetings,

A few years back, a Chicago policewoman who worked in gun records had a son whose Glock was registered BEFORE the gun was invented. Chicago and Crook County gun laws are a joke. One good aspect of this silly law is that hizzhonor's gun grabbers don't know which citizens are armed.

Shalom,
Dark Wing Duck

As much as I dislike his ethics, his politics and his 'not my responsibility' attitude - every citizen has the right to keep and bear arms - his infringing on the rest of them is wrong - but I support his right - cause it is mine, too. Push that debate, arm them all, arm them all!

I'm surprised he didn't just write a law exempting all aldermen from the registration....

"Welcome to Chicago. Bend over."

On a related note, the town of Palatine, in northern Cook County, is undergoing an effort [with other nearby suburbs] to secede from Cook County.

I hope they do it. I'm two towns over; I'd love to join them.
