Time to update MAD.

It used to mean Mutually Assured Destruction.

I think it should be changed to:
Mosque Assured Destruction

ROE: ANY nuke event in the US or any of its friends which can be even loosely shown to be Islamic in origin and we level a large group of Mosques and other Islamic sites; starting with locations in Mecca.

Simple, straightforward. Talk like a suicidal maniac and we'll treat you like one and offer martyrdom to you and yours....

There's big difference between sacrificing yourelf for an ideal (no matter ow crzy) and contemplating the estruction of your entire people.

No moral equivalence here, but many Americans see fit to encourage their kids to risk their lives in the military for a principle greater than individual survival (this is the exact opposite of willingness to sacrifice our entire people), and even crazy-ass islamic parents don't *usually* send off all their kids, or the entire family all at once. I doubt they'd be willing to sacrifice their entire people, culture, nation, etc. The problem lies in their possible miscalculation about what consequences of their actions. If they think that they can do something stupid like nuke Israel and Allah will protect them, then they might do it.

The one thing I've noticed is that the leadership doesn't seem enthusiastic about strapping on (as Tam once so poetically put it) Semtex Underoos - thus the "No, Ace. Just You." title of this post. We don't have to threaten to wipe out the population. Just decapitate the leadership, over and over, so long as they keep encouraging Jihad.

I've been experimenting with a similiar policy in my head, still giving it think, not certain if I really like it or not.

FWIW, it goes like this:

Nation building is hard, and we're not especially all that good at it.

Regime destruction is easy, and we excel at that.

Let's play to our strengths, then, shall we?

Mad dog regimes will be put down, quickly and decisively, and then we vacate, waiting to see what happens next.

Repeat as needed.

Well, I can't disagree with that. It's a harsh petri dish to live in, but those are the ones that evolve the quickest.
