What is this ?  (/var/log/procmail/procmail)

Is that the executable or the logfile ?  If it's the program whre is the x 
bit ? (chmod +x).

how are you invoking procmail ?  What does your /etc/procmailrc or 
$HOME/.procmailrc look like ?
