The main reason I added message-ID logging was so that I could hook
the sanitizer in to MRTG and graph messages quarantined. You could do
something similar after the sanitizer call (to a different file, of
course) for an overall message count. There are other ways to do that
as well.
Currently it'd be more involved to track mangles and strips.
